Northern California Swing Dance Challenge
New This Year.....

This year we are combining our NCSDC with our Keep em swingin' event to raise funds for single parents with breast cancer.

A portion of every entry at every qualifying venue and and the finals will go to help those figthing the cancer battle with everyday costs that add up. The One Flap Down foundation grants services to patients in need.

We have two goals, to grow the dance we love, West Coast Swing, at a grassroots level and to raise money for those fighting for thier lives.
Our goal is to promote West Coast Swing on a grassroots level, To promote our fellow dance instructors, clubs and venues and encourage all of our students to try competition in a friendly and supportive environment. By all of us coming together in an intimate setting it allows dancers of all levels the opportunity to interact with us up close and hopefully we will inspire and create new competitors. We also will have competitions for our seasoned students.
Mission Statement
The NCSDC is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of West Coast Swing in Northern California
Our purpose  to include commited teachers and their communities. providing a series of contests in a friendly and supportive environment for newcomers and novice dancers to experience Jack-n-Jill competitions. Collectively, offering a convention style atmosphere in a non-intimidating setting.
We will run qualifying events at several venues for six weeks preceding the finals around the Bay Area, Chico, Carmel, and Sacramento with the finals contest held in Sacramento CA. At the Finals contest we will have a full day of workshops, multiple levels of competitions, and open dancing. We will hopefully inspire these beginners to go on to enter large scale competitions ensuring the future of West Coast Swing by growing the population of competitive dancers in Northern California.
